PROJECTS / COLLABORATIONS

Solo Project
This is where I let the saxophone misbehave a little. It’s a solo set built around breath, resistance, and sound that sometimes barely holds together. I treat the instrument less like a melodic tool and more like a physical space — stretched, cracked, reshaped in real time.

Airkeychains Trio

Airkeychains Trio
Francesca Fantini, Danielius Daubaras, and Gregory Kharaneka.
No setlists. No safety nets. This trio works like an exposed circuit — improvised tension, breath noise, valve clicks, and unstable textures. Sometimes playful, sometimes brutal, always listening.

Gregory & Paula Duo

Gregory Kharaneka & Paula Bagotyriūtė Duo
Prepared piano and saxophones caught in a textural drift — buzzing metal, breath through wood, strings bent out of shape. This duo isn’t about melody or rhythm — it’s a shared timbral hallucination, unfolding in slow motion. Each performance maps out new sonic terrain, both fragile and raw.

European Music Collective

European Music Collective (EMC)
A large-scale improvisation ensemble shaped by friction, spontaneity, and the joy of unpredictable sound. Musicians from across Europe build fragile architectures out of listening — with no conductor, no score, and no safety net. A living orchestra where tension, chaos, and silence share the stage.

Kang Bang Project

Kang Bang
A brutalist sound machine powered by drums, electronics, synths, and saxophones. Kang Bang doesn’t groove — it crashes, pulses, mutates. Somewhere between free jazz and raw industrial, this project turns noise into architecture and overload into structure. Featuring Kristupas Kmitas (drums), Andrius Šiurys (electronics), Nikita Kiriuchinas (synths), and Gregory Kharaneka (saxes).
